About Us
STUDENT UNION EXECUTIVE
Greetings my fellow student body! My name is Mrs. Karistan Harris- Dawson and I am more than excited to introduce myself as President of Ecumenical Junior College Student’s Union for 2021/2022. I’m currently enrolled in the Early Childhood Education Program to obtain my Associates Degree. I have a passion for education, and I truly believe that with an exceptional foundation in education, the next generation will be able to lead our country. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, singing and spending time with my family. As your president, my goal is to represent the students by sitting on the Board of Governors and ensure that decisions are made in the best interest of our student body and institution. As your president, I have many ideas and visions for the student body’s enhancement, as you all know, we are have been faced with a Global pandemic that has forced us to adapt to new modes of learning and engagement. Coping with these changes that had suddenly befallen us have not been easy. We feel alone, stressed and overwhelmed, deprived of that face to face, person to person contact. My vision is for the student union team and I to continue find innovative ways to continue foster positive engagement in these not so normal times. I am looking forward to meeting you all during this school year. I am sure we will have a great time at Ecumenical Junior College.
Aranda, Camron
Khareem Vice-President |
Greetings my fellow student body! My name is Camron K. Aranda. I hold the post of vice president of the student union at Ecumenical Junior College. My majors are Business Management and Accounting. I have a great responsibility of working closely with all students and will be focusing on the productiveness of students' day to day online learning. My role is also to act as a bridge between the students and the college, coordinating events alongside the student union and assisting the president on all duties throughout the year. My vision is to ensure development and implication of effective operations to meet current and future needs.
Nicholson, Ishmael Camryn Treasurer |
Greetings my fellow student body! My name is Ishmael Nicholson and I am your student union treasurer for 2021-2022. I am an Accounting and Business Management Major. My role will be to help the student union make the best financial decisions. My vision is to lead and excel in the provision of accounting and financial management services in the student union. In keeping with this vision, I strive to achieve a mission encompassing three core values of Professionalism, Stewardship and Student Centricity.
Greetings my fellow student body! My name is Josette Ishell Estrada. It’ is my pleasure to introduce myself as the secretary of Stann Creek Ecumenical Junior College for the schoolyear 2021 - 2022. I’m currently enrolled in the Early Childhood program to earn my associates degree. I chose that program because I have a passion for molding young children into productive citizens. In my leisure time, I enjoy dancing, surfing the internet, and spend quality time with my family. My role being a secretary is to ensure that all meetings are organized and keep formal records. My desire to serve as a student union executive is to understand students' concerns. Unfortunately due to the global pandemic we cannot meet face to face. My vision is to work diligently with my members to assure that everything gets done on time and to make a positive impact on the student body.
Coleman, Emeni Leonie Assistant Secretary |
Greetings my fellow student body! My name is Emeni Coleman, your new assistant secretary. I am currently enrolled as a first year Sociology major at this superb institution. Since being at Stann Creek Ecumenical Junior College, I have enjoyed meeting the teachers and being a part of the inspirational speeches on zoom. These wonderful activities help the institution grow by motivating the students to aim for bigger and better things. Some of you may not realize how important being the school's assistant secretary is, because it encompasses so many roles. An assistant secretary is to act alongside the Secretary as a main point of communication and will need to deal with the day-to-day running of the student council. My mission is to create a good working relationship with the student body of Stann Creek Ecumenical Junior College . I can assure you that I am here to plan wonderful activities that consist of learning and having fun. My vision is to convince every student that learning is about fun and with the perfect team you all can learn something everyday. Lets all be prepared to participate in all the activities our student council has in store for the school. Like Malcolm X said “The future belongs to those who prepare for it today”.
Greetings my fellow student body! My name is Keona Clare. I am currently a part-time student and teacher, motivated by my love for learning and succeeding to become a successful woman in today’s society. With the definitive goal of becoming a certified Math teacher. I am currently completing my Associates degree program in Primary education here at Ecumenical Junior College and teaching at Zion S.D.A Primary school. My position in the student union is the assistant treasurer. As a former business student of Ecumenical High School, I plan to use my background knowledge and skills to work with the treasurer in the direction and management of the school's treasury activities.
